Smoldered first
Deep inside
My heart
My soul
My very being
Eyes that opened
Sensing. Seeing

Came to life
I sighed
I cried
Warm, deep feelings
My pounding heart
Senses waking
Senses reeling

A part of me I thought had died
Welled in me
Emotion’s tide
A flood of feeling
Pulsating promise
Just what hand
Is Nature dealing?
