Unquestionably, one of the great highlights of my life was when I was invited by the organisers of the Telkom-sponsored "Night Of The Poets" event, to read four poems 'In Praise of Women' at a gala function held on 6th August 2003 at the Sandton Convention Centre to celebrate National Womens' Day. I wrote "Gentle Woman" specifically for this occasion.
These are the four poems that I presented at the event.
  ♦ Gentle Woman
♦ I Always Knew There Were Angels
  ♦ For Women With Dreams
  ♦ For Career Women
My privilege was to present my poetry alongside several of South Africa's most acclaimed poets. These included: Masello "Modjadji" Motana, Diana Ferrus, Sandile Dikeni, Marie Beytell and Lebo Mashile.
